The German Panther tank served during World War ll from mid 1943 to the end of the war in 1945.  It is frequently regarded as one of the best tank designs of WWll for it's excellent combination of firepower, mobility and protection.  It became the benchmark for other nations tank design towards the end of WWll and also during the post war years.

It initially came about in answer to the Russian T-34 and KV-1 tanks which outclassed anything the Germans had at that time.  The wide track, armour thickness and sloping armour were attributes of the T-34's which the Germans took on board and applied them to the Panther to which they added a 76.2 mm gun.

Although it started life with numerous troubles and problems, it proved to be at it's most effective in open countryside where because of it's superior firepower it could easily take out enemy positions before getting into enemy range.  Among many famous battles, it took part in the Battle of the Bulge.  However, it did prove vulnerable in towns and cities.

This life-like tank is equipped with lights and simulates sound. It comes complete with a rechargeable battery (adapter included) and remote. These RC tanks can climb up steep inclines and move over uneven surfaces. A great deal of attention was paid to realism, as evidenced by the tank's accurate design, with a body coated with camouflage paint (Colour may vary some tanks are green camo and others are desert camo), and a rotating turret (290 degree span) and a vertical-moving gun. The Battle Front Tank has about a 28-yard firing range and uses real treads just like a real-life tank. All driving wheels utilize a suspension system. Lifelike sounds and lights. 2 feet long x 1 foot wide.  Comes with Rechargeable battery and charger.  Run time between 10-20 mins. Never overcharge your battery!  Initial charge for 4 hours and subsequent charges no longer than 2-3 hours.
